1. General Principles
At WorkoutGen, we want you to be fully satisfied with your subscription. This refund policy explains under what conditions you can obtain a refund and how to cancel your subscription.
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, taxes, and refunds. Refunds will appear on the same payment method used for the original purchase.
2. 7-Day Free Trial
Every new WKG Plus subscription includes a 7-day free trial.
During the Free Trial
- You have access to all premium features
- No payment will be charged during these 7 days
- You can cancel anytime at no charge
- If you cancel during the trial, your subscription will simply be deactivated with no charge
End of Free Trial
If you don't cancel before the 7 days end, your subscription will automatically activate and your first payment will be charged based on your selected plan.
Automatic Reminder
We will send you an email reminder 2 days before your trial ends to allow you to cancel if you wish.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
General Principle: No Prorated Refunds
Once the trial period ends and your subscription is active, no prorated refunds are provided for partially used periods.
Example: If you subscribe to the 12-month plan and cancel after 2 months, you keep access until the end of the 12-month period, but no refund will be issued for the remaining months.
Exceptions: Refund Possible
We may exceptionally grant a refund in the following cases:
- Major technical issue: If the app is unusable for an extended period (more than 7 consecutive days) due to a bug or outage on our end, and we cannot resolve it quickly.
- Duplicate charge: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same period.
- Unauthorized charge: If you were charged after canceling your subscription, or if you never subscribed.
- Dissatisfaction within 30 days: If you are dissatisfied with the service within 30 days of your first payment (after the free trial), contact us to discuss a possible refund.
Note: Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to refuse refunds for abuse or repeated requests.
4. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's how:
From Mobile App (iOS/Android)
- Open WorkoutGen
- Go to Settings (gear icon top right)
- Select Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm your choice
From Website
- Log in to go.workoutgen.app
- Click your profile (top right)
- Select Settings → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm your choice
By Email (if technical issue)

Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period
- You continue to have access to premium features until the end date
- No automatic renewal will occur
- At the end of the period, you automatically revert to the free version
- Your workout data is preserved
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for one of the exceptional cases mentioned above, follow this procedure:

- Email associated with your WorkoutGen account
- Date of the payment in question
- Amount charged
- Detailed reason for refund request
- Screenshots if applicable (error, duplicate charge, etc.)
- Our review: We will review your request within 5 business days and respond by email.
- Refund processing: If approved, the refund will be processed within 7-14 business days (bank processing time varies).
6. Billing and Management via Lemon Squeezy
All payments, taxes, and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record.
Invoices
After each payment, Lemon Squeezy automatically sends you an invoice by email. You can also find your invoices in Settings → Subscription → Billing History.
Refunds
If a refund is granted, Lemon Squeezy will process it automatically and the amount will be credited to the payment method used for the original purchase (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
Currencies and Conversions
Prices are displayed in your local currency (USD, EUR, GBP, BRL, etc.). Refunds will be issued in the same currency as the original payment.
In case of exchange rate fluctuations between payment and refund dates, the refunded amount may slightly differ from the originally charged amount (due to bank conversion fees, beyond our control).
7. No Refund Cases
No refund will be granted in the following cases:
- Change of mind: If you simply no longer want to use the service after the trial period.
- Lack of use: If you didn't use the app but forgot to cancel.
- Chargeback: If you dispute a payment with your bank without contacting us first, your account will be immediately suspended. Chargebacks incur significant costs for us and are considered a violation of our Terms of Service.
- Terms violation: Fraudulent use of the service, account sharing, etc.

8. Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time.
Protection for Existing Subscribers
If you're already subscribed when a price change occurs:
- Your current rate remains unchanged until the end of your current subscription period
- You will be notified at least 30 days in advance before the new rate applies
- You can choose to cancel before renewal if you don't want to accept the new price

Can I cancel during the free trial?
Yes, absolutely! You can cancel anytime during the 7-day free trial at no charge.
What happens if I cancel after payment?
You keep access to premium features until the end of the paid period. No prorated refund is provided, except in exceptional cases.
How long does a refund take?
If your refund request is approved, the amount is typically credited within 7-14 business days (variable bank processing time).
Can I switch plans (monthly → 12 months)?
Yes, you can change plans anytime in Settings → Subscription. The change will take effect at the end of your current period.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
All your workout data is preserved. You simply revert to the free version and lose access only to premium features.
I was charged twice by mistake, what should I do?
Contact us immediately at contact@workoutgen.app with details of both transactions. We will refund the duplicate payment within 48 hours.
